The word is out that Jurgen Klinsmann who revolutionized Germany’s style of play is leaving Germany and assistant coach Joachim Loew is taking over. Loew is the closest coach Germany could get if they want to continue their fast attacking style Jurgen put in place. And to reinforce the decision Loew is promised to continue with Klinsmann’s style and says: That’s the only way we can achieve a lasting place among the very best in the world.
I am deeply saddened and strongly disagree that Jose Pekerman
would quit as the Argentinan coach. His announcement came right after they lost to Germany which makes me hope those are words of emotions and not based on logical reasoning.
Argentina was superb on the field playing great football, ran and positions themselves well on the field and was so dangerous on counter-attacks and opening opportunities in goal scoring. Jose assembled a young, explosive and attacking team that could light the scoreboard every game. You cannot take away anything from this team who played against the host nation, were scoring against one of the best goalies in the world and only lost on penalty kicks with their substitute keeper guarding their goal.

Lousy performance after an arrogant string of media announcements could not help but put a gag on his mouth and show no signs of comeback for the United States team. The disappointing performance of U.S. in the world cup would weigh in the decision of Arena and U.S. Soccer Federation president Sunil Gulati if they should part ways or make another run.

A lot has happened since the summer of 2004. I was not even able to update this website since I’ve got the opportunity to coach the German National Team towards the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany. It is a big honor and a privilege to be the Coach of this team and I will do everything possible to help the team succeeding in the biggest football event of the world.
I hope to see you in Germany in 2006?
