I cannot understand why McClaren is asking people to be patient while he figure out a way to make England contenders. Pathetic performances against Macedonia and Croatia saw them scoring only a single goal and their latest game against Holland was decided late in the game with a goal from Rafael van der Vaart.
England is supposed to be a powerful team and they did not get crushed during FIFA World Cup 2006 but lost on a single goal that could have seen them advance further into the competition. The only significant player removed from their roster is David Beckham whom he says is no longer fit and needed by the team. Their performance in their Euro 2008 qualifier looks so bad they have regressed a lot of steps back.
Their last win was due to adjustments made by Terry Venables and not of McClaren.
The guy better get his act together because we might just see David Beckham back in action while Steve goes to the audience stand.
