I am crazy about football since I scored my first goal at the age of 8 in an intramural game. I was like every kid playing soccer who dream that one day they could make it to the big league. For one, I fantasized of playing in the FIFA World Cup Finals which is not likely to happen anymore.
Anyways, my craziness and love for FIFA World Cup is fulfilled through blogging which is the primary motivation for putting this site up.
My blogging goal is a three fold attach for this month of June.
1. Blog here at Sporati – I want to blog and report as many games as possible here in Sporati. I will do my best to cover all 64 games and report what is happening to them.
2. Sporati – the goal of this site is to serve as a portal to all my sports blogs and at the same time to list and blog about gears, gadgets and equipments all related to sports. And since it is the World Cup I am looking to post a lot of great content in it.
3. Soccerati – this is my player development blog via B5Media and I hope to highlight the high and lows of the soccer players during the Finals.
This seems to be an easy goal but given there are 32 countries, 64 games and over 936 players it is harder than you can imagine. Nevertheless, I will be a blog world cup factory for the next 30 days. Nothing Is Impossible!

People are praying and wishing Wayne Rooney will make it in time for the FIFA World Cup
I for one would like to see Wayne Rooney because he simply is astounding and a player of his caliber deserve to represent his country in the field and not on casual uniform working as a cheerleader. If Luckott made the history books playing for his country, it is not fair to see Rooney on the bench. Life is not fair and so give us some break and get him there on the field.
Fair enough. His exciting and powerful timely kicks going to the net is needed by a team facing perhaps the strongest Brazil team we have seen in years.

This is ridiculous. England promised Prince Williams they will bring back FIFA World Cup to their country during his visit to the team’s training session on Thursday.
Williams is the president of the Football Association
He stressed that bringing the World Cup to their country shall bring everyone together. That should be expected since the greatest sporting event is seen like a religion to most of the countries participating and shall bring any country together once the Finals is won. 
I doubt if England
A promise is made to be broken after all. They better pray Rooney will play in the competition because they will be needing everything from their Arsenal to get past Brazil.

People over at UK should be happy since BBC will be showing World Cup games online which is the first time it shall happen.
The downside and argument on this is — shown only over at UK and not the rest of the world.
Fair enough, the question right now focus on Expats. How will they be able to watch these shows while outside of UK after all they are paying their broadband bills?
There are only 7 days to go before the World Cup
I reckon that these guys should have thought about this way sooner. Come to think of it, expats should not care if they cannot watch the show on internet since they can afford with their large and fat paychecks on pay- per-view schedule from their television. Another angle I see is that internet connection in third world countries, where there are also tons of expats, may have slow internet access and watching on television is better than staring at a slow motion video.

Over at BBC a picture of Ronaldo in FIFA World Cup 2002 was posted showing his lean frame in what seemed to be in a speeding motion.

Football…Brazil…Ronaldo – it doesn’t get any better, especially if you’re a sports photographer covering the World Cup finals. Taking pictures of the best footballers in the world and seeing them in print is a massive buzz. You’re so close to the action you can hear a metatarsal crack. All my mates want to swap places with me! This Ronaldo picture shows power and speed in an arty kind of way. Shooting from the stands allows you to see shapes and patterns set against the green grass. I wanted to capture him running from left to right because it looks better in print. To get the shot spot on, I wanted Ronaldo on his own (he’s always tightly marked and not always in the action) so I needed to concentrate on more than just watching the game.
