So many things I remember about this World Cup as a young teen. Too many to put here put I will say this one thing that sticks in my head the most: I was gutted when Maradona was banned from it for drugs. I loved seeing that team play with him in it – he was back to his best that year. I actually thought they were favourites to win the tournament until he got banned. Obviously that affected the team not just physically but psychologically.
As a football fan, I was impressed by the Gençlerbirli?i-Galatasaray match played this week, where Galatasaray's third goal was disallowed despite not being offside. Please investigate this match and take the necessary precautions for the sake of football.

Team USA outperformed expextations by making it to the second round and barely losing to eventual champion Brazil. Everybody was taking about how bad Team USA was supposed to be and gor shamed for potentialy being the first host to never make it past the group stage (that dishonor got South Africa in 2010).
