  1. So potent and prolific.
We've never had another striker like this great man. He doesn't trap the ball first before firing home like most of our strikers do today leading to them loosing the ball to opposing defenders.

  2. I used to live close to a place where he came to train in Ibadan. And I heard any time he makes a run toward the goal the keeper usually runs away because of his shot. You don't want to get hit with one of those in your face. It's K.O. or a career-ending injury.

  3. Rasheed Yekinini was a giant among strikers in Africa. His sublime skills, though grossly underated at the time, were a forerunner to the skills players of today display. He lived ahead of his times and we miss him dearly today. But his footprints and legacy in Nigeria and Africa , nay the whole world , are everlasting. Continue to rest in peace.

  4. I was recently watching a history of one former ethiopian player whose career came to an end after physically collided with this nigerian giant Yekini

That's why I came to discover this video and enjoyed very much

  5. Mumuni kilani I remember in one of our game there's was a harder I made and he call me and said kilani you close your eyes open your eyes when you heading.that haw great he was and not selfish

  6. I have only just realised that Yekini passed away in 2012. ?

He was a top, top striker. Over 165 goals in 253 league appearances, and 37 goals in 62 appearances for the Super Eagles ??.

He was a favourite of mine, mainly due to the brilliance of Nigeria in WC ‘94.

  7. funny how at times we hear who is the greatest player of all times only to his career cut short for one reason of the other. For ppl who know of him or have passed down the wanting to be like him. as much as everyone Keep saying Walter Boyd one of the greatest jamaican player ever. due to not being exposed or denied opportunity from his school days. but we from westmoreland and ppl in his era knows its ONEIL BARNES aka JOHNNY BARNES. SORRY at the there are no footage of him to show. GLAD I GOT TO WATCH TWO OF AFRICAS GREATEST KANU AND YEKINI' One Love JAMAICA the MOTHER LAND.
