FIFA World Cup Germany 2006: Australia 3 VS 1 Japan – Australia’s Goals (Aired By SBS) The Australian’s began to think there luck was out when in the 80th minute it was still 1-0 to Japan. From a 1st half goal by Japan & Celtic’s Shunsuke Nakamura, it was Australia who were let down by the referee after Mark Shwarzer and his defenders claiming the keeper was “spiked” by Japanese forward Takahara. No free kcik was given. It was untill the 83rd minute when a long throw from the Right-Back Lucas Neil from English Premier League club West Ham United (currently playing for Everton now) caught the Goal Keeper’s attention to come out and punch away the ball, but there were just too many players in his way that he hardly touched the ball and landed at the feet of Tim Cahill, who was then and currently now also playing for English Premier League club Everton, who hit the ball into the back of the net through many of the Japanese defender’s legs. 1-1 3 minutes later it was still deadlocked when Tim Cahill brought a Japanese midfeilder down in the box. It was clearly a penalty, but none given only a corner. 2 minutes after the ball was up in Japan’s half as the ball was once again played to Tim Cahill outside the area, control, touch, and shot as the ball hit the post the keeper thought luck was on his side but it rebounded off the post and hit the other one, rolling into the back of the net. 2-1 It was now the 92nd minute and Japan needed to win possesion and get the ball out of there half. The ball bounced up to Josh Kennedy and controlled on his head and passed to. From: jamierules94 Views: 659 0 ratings Time: 03:39 More in Sports
