  1. In my opinion this goal was an easier feat to achieve than the Cahill goal. Catching the ball on the chest is an every game occurrence and simple to do, it provided the player with time and choices about what to do next, the subsequent volley was a good end result. But this is not a ridiculously difficult thing to do, it would be very easy to practice this at training and in fact these types of chest control and shoot drills are regularly done. By comparison Cahill's type of goal is rarely seen and is the ultimate extension to the volley drills used to help Rodriguez accomplish his goal. It's the next step up for sure. To hit a volley that comes from a high cross behind his shoulder then to hit it so sweetly with his wrong foot was extremely difficult. These are not practiced out on the training ground. Also in the context of the game it was more extraordinary, little old Australia vs the massive force of the Dutch when Australia were expected to be thrashed and had just conceded a goal, it was an almighty reply by Tim Cahill to bring the score back to 1-1. I wonder if James Rodriguez will still be banging them in when he is 34 at a world cup like Cahill?
