  1. England Croatia became a true rivalry, a great one, frendly and with respect. But england being a powerhouse country, pressure is always on them…. Gareth needs to correct his view about croatia because its not the same croatia as in russia. Some players left and 6,7 new young hungry lions came. Petkovic, vlasic, brekalo, barisic, livakovic..croatias midfield is still top, kovacic who plays great in chelsea is not even in first 11, so be careful. Biggest problem for croatia is that their game still depends on modric. If modric is bad, whole team is bad… But, interesting fact is that both teams wants to be second so to avoid germany/france/portugal, i dont think either of them will give 100% in that first match on wembley.. I predict a draw

  2. I think this new Croatian side is better than the one they had in Russia. They now have an even better set of forwards who can easily score goals, together with their mid field England will have their hands full. Croatia loves the big stage especially against teams like England, Germany, Italy etc etc

  3. England always goes far, but then misses something to finish it off to make it to the top, which is why although England is favorite for the cup winner, I don't think it will make it to the top.

  1. You Americans have no idea about European Futbol. World ranking has no meaning when it comes to a tournament like UEFA 2020. Remember when the group stage started, Turkiye was 40 something in the rankings and France was at the top tier. But, France has lost 2-0 in Turkiye and couldn’t beat at home (1-1). Turkiye’s 14-15 players are playing in Italy, England, Germany, France. My suggestion is forget biased opinions and make a research before making any analysis.

  2. The way they describe the great tradition of Italian Football is disgraceful and simplistic.
Italian defensive play and discipline was sublime, accompanied by the brilliant talent of players like Rivera, Riva, Rossi, Baggio, Del Piero, Pirlo, etc. Will the British ever produce defenders like Facchetti, Scirea, Cabrini, Baresi, Maldini, Cannavaro, etc.
    NEVER.
PS The American commentator is a clown.

  3. I am an Italy fan and I don't think this group is nearly as easy as they are making it out to be. Italy are the top team and have the most talent in the group, but Switzerland are a very organized team that play team defense and Turkey and Wales have some nice talent on their squads as well. I expect Italy to make it out of the group, I also expect all 3 games to be close games.

  4. I love British sports media. They have no idea about rest of world 😀 How can you call this group "easy"? Italy plays better than last 4-6 years but it's still not a magnificent team. Also the other teams are looks pretty equal. Wales has Bale, Turkey has a great defance lane and Switzerland has many talented players like Shaqiri and Zakaria. This group may be the most competative group, even more than group F.

  5. This is a weird Euro because so many game in different countries. Although Italy is favorite (my team) the other three teams are very evenly matched. This is going to be a Euros with many surprises and upsets in my opinion. But the system where four third place teams quality. You can have one horrible game , tie and win the last two and you have qualified for the second round. Italy first game against Turkey will say alot , they most likely going to be a young team playing a great defensive team. If Italy can't score quickly , will they get frustrated or will they be able to be patient.

  6. I think Turkey will do that what did greece do at 2004. Persons who underestimate Turkey will be fail certainly. I am waiting spectacular results from Turkey.

  7. I see group A very even. Switzerland have a great side. Turkey a new promising generation to progress to last 16 maybe not more, and Wales have 3 or 4 players that might help them again at least to reach 2nd stage. Italy plays home, but against what tough opponents in the qualifiers, c'mon I don't see Italy so brilliant as they are saying here..

  8. It's a tricky group… But Italy right now as some great young talent.. chiesa & Zaniolo

    Wales as some great players..
    Switzerland always surprises in tournaments
    Turkey is a dark ?

  9. As an italian I hate to see people saying we are 100% going through…. yes I believe that will finish first but I just hate it and it makes me nervous

  10. The American doesn’t understand football . Someone needs him to google Sacchi he invented modern football . Post sacchi for Italy lasted till around 2007. Then Italy changed ideologies to the Jose mourino and Portuguese ideology with made Italy establish teams like juventus with allegri and conte . Which allowed conte manage Italy for the euros as a result . Now again Italy is changing due to political and the failed Portugal method . He might be referring to the 30-50’s which was referred to the Argentina method . So Italy vertical passing and compacting was only truly put in practical use from 2009-2017 . But hey everybody needs a job
