Results (Round of 8): Brazil vs France

Zidane. Henry. Old and Young. The passing of the torch came at the expense of FIFA World Ranked number 1, Brazil, after Thierry scored the winning goal for France on the 62nd minute.

Zidane outplayed, outmatched the entire Brazilian team playing as if it was the 1998 World Cup Finals where Zizou delivered the killing plays to kick Brazil out of the tournament.

Brazil was no match for France in the wings where Roberto Carlos could not play at the same level as France while Cafu could not catch up in France's speed probably because of his age.

Who could deny France of the win when Zidane showed mastery of the game with effective passes, setup plays team leadership. He showed he is one of the greatest that played the game of football.

Brazilians were torn when the favorite team in the world to win the World Cup was booted out of the quarterfinals. There is hope though that Cicinho and Robinho are still young and hopefully they will be the dominant team in the next World Cup.
