FIFA and Their Capitalistic Stance

FIFA wants to be the sole organization to have the right to say, utter, or print the words FIFA World Cup. They sent a letter to countless of small, mini blog sites who promoted their FIFA World Cup 2006 tournament for free.

Brazil Wins Copa America 2007 Thru Well Planned Tactics

Brazil wins Copa America 2007 Argentina lost to Brazil in 2004 via penalties. Argentina came to the finals with vengeance in their eyes looking to crush Brazil. People expected Argentina to win it all. In the end, Argentina went home getting beaten by Brazil.

Brazil was spectacular throughout the game finishing with 3 goals while Argentina never saw the ball behind the net.

Julio Baptisa came up with a back breaker by scoring very early in the game—4th minute. Argentina captain Roberto Ayala helped Brazil extend the lead by scoring on his own goal before half-time and Brazilian Daniel Alves finishing off Argentina for good.

Jamie Carragher Should Still Fight for His Place in England

It does not matter if Jamie thinks his skills cannot cope up with the young guys anymore. It does not matter if he thinks he cannot do it right now. Jamie Carragher plays very well with his team club and it is not his fault if England’s manager could find a place for him to shine.

He has the experience which could prove valuable for the team and as such, he should be hopeful and proud of carrying the England flag on his shoulders. Steve McLaren would still be talking to Jamie and hopefully they could mend their difference and find a suitable strategy to make the most of his capacity.

Jamie has this to say:

Brazil Gives Chile a Beating at Copa America

Regardless of the chaotic situation in the Chile side, Brazil should have bounced back from a lackluster performance earlier in the tournament as they crushed their opponent with a 6-point haul. They prepared for this game, working on drills designed to neutralize every attack of Coach Nelson Acost.

Argentina is Now FIFA’s King of the Mountain

Argentina is now the King of the Mountain rising to the number 1 spot of FIFA World Rankings. The way things are going it looks like Argentina has the best shot of winning World Cup 2010.

Their team is becoming more deadly as their core roster of Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Ruben Gago, Higuain and Tevez are maturing just fine.

Italy Unseat Brazil in FIFA Coca-Cola World Rankings

Italy is looking good towards FIFA World Cup 2010 especially because they have just unseated Brazil in the FIFA Ranking after the South American squad remained number 1 for the last 55 months.

This is the first time Italy became number 1 since November 1993.

Brazil is going to have a lot of homework to do and losing to a friendly game against Portugal 0 – 2 does not help their cause.

I got a FIFA World Cup Baby

Ananova reports that recent FIFA World Cup competition left a lot of pregnant girls in town. German maternity wards are now fully booked for April to give way to a ton load of FIFA World Cup babies.

Big Boos for Alex Ferguson on McLaren

Alex Ferguson and Steve McLaren were old pals as Steve served as Alex’s assistant for two and a half years before leaving for Red Devils; as such, I understand the support Alex is giving Steve. He would not recommend for the replacement of Steve McLaren despite England’s first home loss in a qualifier but would instead boost his morale to perform.

Alex warned that media is putting unecessary pressure on Steve McLaren and booting him out should not be an option as the manager’s great potential would never be reached.

So what?

It Doesn’t Matter if Francesco Totti Quit

Francesco Totti Italy

Francesco Totti said he would not participate in the Italy national squad anymore and would not be playing for FIFA World Cup or the UEFA Euro.

His absence to the national squad doesn’t have an impact on Italy’s future because Totti has mostly been absent during important games of the team. He was sent off after Italy lost in FIFA World Cup 2002 and was banned from Uefa Euro 2004 because of spitting on Christian Poulsen, Danish midfielder.

He was present in FIFA World Cup 2006 but his presence wasn’t felt at all.

Totti, have fun and enjoy your new found freedom.

Carlos Parreira may Suffer Criminal Charges for Working Illegally in South Africa

Hosting FIFA World Cup 2010 on South Africa doesn’t look good with delayed stadium constructions, crimes, poor department executions, etc.

The recent mishandling of the Visa of Brazilian coach Carlos Parreira and assistant Jairo Lopes Cesar Leal might result in criminal charges against them for working in South Africa without the necessary permit aside from their tourist status.

How can Steve McLaren stop being a Pain in the Ass?

Steve McLarenResign as England manager. Steve McLaren is a complete idiot by being to bossy around England and even brainlessly shrugging David Beckham off the team representing a complete turnaround for squad he led for a decade.

I am no big fan of David Beckham but placing the axe for a player who exude a great deal of confidence and influence among his teamates is nothing to be taken lightly.

England has played dismal in their qualification for Uefa Euro 2008 which also endangers their FIFA World Cup 2010 bid.

McClaren Doesn’t Need Time to Revive England

I cannot understand why McClaren is asking people to be patient while he figure out a way to make England contenders. Pathetic performances against Macedonia and Croatia saw them scoring only a single goal and their latest game against Holland was decided late in the game with a goal from Rafael van der Vaart.

Jürgen Klinsmann to Coach US

We are just waiting for the official announcement but it is almost certain that Jurgen Klinsmann will coach the USA. Klinsmann was speculated to target USA a few months back even if Gulati downplayed the reports. The poll we ran on Jurgen Klinsmann leading USA was in his favor as well.

Gulati is Lying About Pekerman Because He Could Not Get Klinsmann Easily

Jose PekermanU.S. Soccer Federation president Sunil Gulati is lying about his need of Pekerman to coach US simply because he could not get Klinsmann to sign easily for their team after his successful transformation of German football. The poll I ran a while back indicated people want to see Klinsmann coach USA but apparently it doesn’t make any sense for him to try to build a team from a disoriented system.
