Spain is definitely celebrating right now as they have just won the 2008 Uefa Euro after 44 years on a goal by Torres. Congratulations Spain for bringing home the 2008 Uefa Euro Finals,
Argentina lost to Brazil in 2004 via penalties. Argentina came to the finals with vengeance in their eyes looking to crush Brazil. People expected Argentina to win it all. In the end, Argentina went home getting beaten by Brazil.
Brazil was spectacular throughout the game finishing with 3 goals while Argentina never saw the ball behind the net.
Julio Baptisa came up with a back breaker by scoring very early in the game—4th minute. Argentina captain Roberto Ayala helped Brazil extend the lead by scoring on his own goal before half-time and Brazilian Daniel Alves finishing off Argentina for good.
Regardless of the chaotic situation in the Chile side, Brazil should have bounced back from a lackluster performance earlier in the tournament as they crushed their opponent with a 6-point haul. They prepared for this game, working on drills designed to neutralize every attack of Coach Nelson Acost.
Alex Ferguson and Steve McLaren were old pals as Steve served as Alex’s assistant for two and a half years before leaving for Red Devils; as such, I understand the support Alex is giving Steve. He would not recommend for the replacement of Steve McLaren despite England’s first home loss in a qualifier but would instead boost his morale to perform.
Alex warned that media is putting unecessary pressure on Steve McLaren and booting him out should not be an option as the manager’s great potential would never be reached.

We run a poll on the finals of the FIFA U-2o Women’s World Championship. The question run was Who’ll play in the Women’s World Championship Finals in Russia 2006?
The choice of answers were: Brazil vs China, Brazil vs USA, Korea DPR vs China PR, Korea DPR vs USA
Brazil – the samba country managed to get away with a stalemate against host nation Russia and Brazil and was able to defeat defending champions Australia with a score of 2 – 0.
Russia – came out very strong on their opening game with Brazil and managed to hold-off their powerful team to finish in a draw while their encounter with New Zealand proved harder and just got out with a 3 – 2 win. Their last game against Australia finished in a draw.
Australia – they openened their bid on a 3 – 0 destruction of New Zealand but was taken cared of by Brazil. They had a draw with Russia 1 – 1.
New Zealand – they need to do their homework as they were demolished by Australia and Russia. They worked hard to draw their last game against Brazil.
Australia is powered by captain Sally Shipard whose youthfullness show a lot of firepower but in general, Australia’s depth is going to be a problem for them.
Brazil is definitely the favorite in this group having the depth, exposure and skill set to beat any opponent. They are led by a strong leader in Marta who is expected to power this squad easily past the stage.

The much awaited FIFA World Cup is fast approaching and good news since Michael Ballack has declared fit to play for the game. Call it miracle or will of determination; this is going to be an exciting time for the host country and for Germany. The beers has flooded the country and with nearly 3 billion people glued to their set, this is the greatest sporting event in the World.
What a time to boost the German pride since I believe Costa Rica is not enough to get this team down its knees. If as if the fat lady has smiled down on Germany; the host country is going to get a much needed opening boost. With Michael Ballack, Lehmann and the Wizardry of Klinsmann intact, more beers is going to flood the game.
I for one would like to see Wayne Rooney because he simply is astounding and a player of his caliber deserve to represent his country in the field and not on casual uniform working as a cheerleader. If Luckott made the history books playing for his country, it is not fair to see Rooney on the bench. Life is not fair and so give us some break and get him there on the field.
Fair enough. His exciting and powerful timely kicks going to the net is needed by a team facing perhaps the strongest Brazil team we have seen in years.
Do you agree? If yes send out your healing message to Wayne Rooney over at Heal Rooney campaign.
C’mon guys, even if you don’t route for England it would be fitting to see your team win or lose against a player like Wayne Rooney. Go and send your healing messages.
