Brazil Gives Chile a Beating at Copa America

Regardless of the chaotic situation in the Chile side, Brazil should have bounced back from a lackluster performance earlier in the tournament as they crushed their opponent with a 6-point haul. They prepared for this game, working on drills designed to neutralize every attack of Coach Nelson Acost.

Brazil came up firing from the start as Dunga's Brazilian side quickly scored 15 minutes into the game via Juan who exposed the weak defensive formation of Chile. Despite being in a crowded area, Juan simply headed an uncontested shot that found the back of the net. Julio Baptista and Robinho finished the first half with one goal each.

Robinho, Josue and Vagner Love finished the demolition job with one goal each in the second half. The outstanding 30 metres goal by Chilean Humberto Suazo was not enough to give Chile any credit going out of the tournament.

Brazil has a long way to go towards FIFA World Cup 2010, but they are definitely getting better and better each game with bumps here and there along the way.
